Probably one of my oldest living cosplays! I know an excellent seamstress named Tracy who was able to make it for me because I was too swamped with event planning to create a cosplay for myself. The material was hella expensive and it was tricky to get the fit right since it had to fit a particular corset underneath it but in the end it got the job done! So after many years I dusted it off and finally took proper pics of it. My friend Vish and I ordered in the mic for the shoot to add some authenticity and as always Guru took the photos!
This is probably the proudest if not def one of the biggest moments in my entire cosplay journey so far. Out of over 4000+ applicants from around the world, I have been chosen as one of the top 20 One Piece cosplayers in the world and will be heading to Japan in a couple weeks!! I am also in this week's edition of Shonen Jump Magazine! My friend was able to snag me a copy! Words cannot express just how much this means to me, to be actually in the pages of this publication is the ultimate honor for a cosplayer and anime fan like myself. I am eternally grateful to the World Cosplay Summit Organisation, Shueisha, and Toei Animation for the opportunity and ofc to Oda sensei for creating such a uniquely amazing series!
